I called AeroGarden because my Ultra LED was gaining time... 3 to 6 hrs a day!!!! Figured out the problem was that when I lost power not long ago it reset my pump cycles and was messing up the times. Then she told me they were working on a fix and would start manufacturing the parts that are causing the problem and would send them to us shortly after! Awesome!
Then I told her how my new Ultra the light plug was so sensitive it kept falling off when I touched it. They are going to figure out what the problem is and send me something to fix it!!! Thanks AeroGarden!!!!

LED Day 43
My cucumber plant grows way past the where the light it. Can't raise it though because the other plants need it down farther. So they are doing the best with what they have.
I have lined the side and bottom with aluminum foil. Hoping that will give the cucumber plant some extra lighting since it has really spread!

Bee Garden update
After almost two months of salad greens my Mom decided she needed to get started on her tomatoes! She always spent money getting decent sized tomato plants to put out in the spring. We live in Iowa so our spring right now is cold. It snowed today and the high tomorrow is 20 degrees. So while many places around the country are planting outdoors we are starting seedlings indoors. I told her this year we would do tomatoes on the aerogarden! So with my grow anything seed kit(love it!) I was able to plant some tomato seeds! In a month when the weather warms up she will have healthy good sized tomato plants!
First I lifted the top completely off. See the nasty buildup on the bottom? Yuck.
Took the whole bowl out and most of that gunk came right off. I didn't have to scrub it or anything. Then planted some tomato seeds. Nothing major. I did forget to put in the paper labels. I know it helps when they are seedlings but once the plants mature it doesn't matter.
I carefully placed 3 seeds in each pod and told my Mom we could buy some jiffy cups and when we pull out some seedlings she can have a couple more sharing the aerogarden's light!

LED Day 40
Two of my strawberry plants didn't ever sprout. The only ones that did were the white soul ones. My strawberry plant is doing well. SO well that I predict little white strawberries in two months. What do you think? Can my strawberry plant give me a couple strawberries by June 1st?
"Two strawberries by June? We will see... wait until your
birthday in July I will give you a strawberry a day!"
This is my new aerogarden. I moved the strawberries to the new one. This garden has two Romaine lettuce; one salad green; my one strawberry plant. My lemon mint and today I just planted some mini tomatoes. One of the tomato plants I planted is called tiny tom. Supposed to grow no more than 6 inches tall and give cherry tomatoes. The other one is supposed to give tomatoes the size of peas....we shall see!
Here is my ever growing cucamelon plant. The kids counted 10 flowers! Ooooh I can taste the cucumbers now.
New salad green plant.
and this is the romaine one.... I haven't harvested my two bigger salad green plants in a little while... going to wait for a little longer and have a big salad.
For those of you wondering. My purple spinach seeds never arrived that is why I planted the tomato ones. And for those that wanted the purple cherry tomato. Sorry I forgot :(
See you soon!

LED Day 37
Remember a while back I told you I won an AeroGarden? I decided to keep it and planted some lettuce! I figure with that many lettuce plants I will be able to have a salad every day. Lets see how that goes.
First of all; I did not miss the flowering stage! I guess they take the shape of a cucumber then the flower blooms. Guess I was never able to watch that closely before when I grew these outdoors last summer.
My strawberries sure are taking off! I think that is just one plant.
Was supper surprised that the lemon mint has sprouted already! This is at 5 days!
another shot of my mini cucumber flower because I am just so happy about it :)
Here is my romaine lettuce at 5 days! Woot that one sure if going strong!
See you next week; maybe then my cucumber will be ready!

Happy Happy Happy - my little cucumbers are growing!
So I hadn't been paying much attention to my cucamelon plant. Then this morning I went to look and right in front of my face I saw this:
That's one of my cucumbers growing!!! I missed the whole flowering stage apparently. Then I went to work for 8 hrs. I came back and started looking around... lots of little cucumbers coming! Yay!!!
My computer is not wanting me to add more photos I guess.... that's ok. Guess I will just have to post again soon. Happy dance.... 34 days since I put the seed in the aerogarden and I have cucumbers growing!

LED Day 25
Its been a week... wow it hasn't felt like a week since I posted last. I haven't even been taking many photos.
First off all here is a reason why I love my AeroGarden. Went to my Mom's house... and she was making herself a sandwich and she just walked over to her AeroGarden and grabbed a few leaves and put them in her sandwich. Convenient!
So these are yesterday's photos that's why the count is at 25 and not 26.

LED Day 20
I can't believe its been 20 days! Wow! Enjoying every minute of it!
What's happening now? I had a few more yummy lettuce leafs. Yum!
Here is my mini cucumber plant. So what I did was build a trellis out of my little boys craft things. I used some 'skill sticks' They were meant to build without gluing. It didn't work... they don't stay together. Glad I didn't throw them out. I just glued them together as neatly as I could... while my children tried to help. It doesn't look too bad. It just not as neat as I would have liked but when this lovely plant is done I can try to make a nicer one for the next time I do this.
So I just pulled the plant down. Right now there is only one vine. You can see a second one growing on this photo. That big leaf is about two inches wide. I got rid of aerogarden's plant support. I don't think it was doing anything...it barely stayed upright.
I lined the bottom and a little of the side with aluminum foil. I read somewhere that it helps reflect light... maybe I should double check that. I added that since this part of the garden will receive less light. There is plenty of room for my little plant to grow.
Here is my lettuce. Sure getting big. See how tiny my strawberry are in comparison.
My two little strawberry plants. Keep at it little guys. You will outlast all the others!
See you next week!

You Are A Winner!
Have you ever seen the movie The Fifth Element? (released 1997 with Bruce Willis) In the movie Korben Dallas (Willis) wins a trip the letter he received had an audio chip that when he opened it it said "You are a winner" Well that was what was going through my mind when I opened Facebook on Friday. I won the AeroGarden Indoor Gardening Month Grand Prize!!!! Woot Woot! So super exited! I won an AeroGarden Ultra... My husband is not happy about this by the way... sad
Now what to do with my garden...decisions, decisions. Should I pass it along to someone else? Should I try to find somewhere to put it? I just don't know.
